The institute was set up in 1996, inviting 15 senior breeding agronomists,among them,there are 3 bitter melon experts,2 pumkin experts,3 cowpea,snow bean experts,5 mustard and cabbage experts and 2 luffa,bottle gourd,cucumber experts and a number of professional technicians who are experience in vegetable breeding and cultivation. Linong Institute possesses a 2,668,000 square meters of breeding base, and three technic demonstration field.
